In the case of such a production, the plot does not, of course, play an important role, but it is worth noting its presence. Guilty Gear X2 was set in the 22nd century on Earth. Advanced genetic research has led to the creation of beings called Gears, combining elements of human and animal DNA. Unfortunately, as it usually happens in this type of cases, new creatures rebeled against their creators. It was decided to organize a special tournament, which would eventually select the best warriors, suitable for fighting the imminent threat.

Lovers of the first part of Guilty Gear X will be interested in the news that well-known characters from this game also appear in the described continuation. What's more, the X2 version offers six completely new heroes, prepared exclusively for this game. All in all, you can choose between twenty different characters. The fights themselves run in a very similar way to the first part of the game. The player can still use a variety of strokes, tricks or combine further attacks into extremely effective combos. Edition X2 introduces a few completely new special blows, such as 'dust attack' or 'instant kill'. An important role is also played by an additional indicator, which can be fired by one of the few strongest blows. The fighting characters can still use additional weapons, most often white.
